Look back and see experience.
Look forward and see hope.
Look around and find reality.
Look within and find yourself.
Everyone is ready and looking forward to 2015. We’ve all over indulged whether it be food, gifts or spending as the holiday encourages us to go overboard in every aspect of our life. And like you, I’m looking forward to the year ahead. What I love about the New Year is that it gives us an opportunity to look ahead, set new goals and establish a game plan to accomplish more.
However, before we look ahead it’s important to look back. My Father once told me “on your road to success, don’t forget where you came from!” And Dad was right. All of our past experiences, challenges and successes in 2014 build our foundation for 2015.
As we ring in the new year, take time to acknowledge all of the people that impacted your life over the past year. As I look back, I’ve met some amazing people in the past year that have inspired, motivated and listened to me, picked me up when I was down, made me laugh and challenged me. I decided to write an email to all of these people, thanking them for coming into my life. Believe it or not, they are there for a reason. Don’t be afraid to show your appreciation.
Celebrate the New Year, your accomplishments and the people in your life. Next, let’s focus on moving forward…as the best is yet to come!
